Four Courts

These designs were produced to enable and inform discussions between the council, community and the current management organisation.

The existing towers are earmarked for demolition and replacement, but the community is asking that a retrofit option is considered to reduce the disruption to existing tenants and to preserve the embodied carbon of the original towers.

These IP protected proposals show circa 400 TopHuis® Retrofit homes in the upgraded and improved existing towers and 180 TopHuis® NewHomes in the low rise new build, beneath which reformatted parking will be upgraded and secured against ASB, as well as to include EV and E-bike charging.

The NewHomes include the typical sociable deck access that gives space to grow plants, allowing people to get to know their neighbours and protects the building. The existing single storey community facilities remain unchanged (except each gets a new green flat roof to better integrate with the  TopHuis® NewHomes.
