As the housing crisis rages across Bristol, there is under-used publicly owned land and buildings that could have new affordable homes built upon without losing the existing use, such as the airspace above car parks or smaller buildings.

Our audit of Bristol City Council's underused land suggests that over 16,000 homes can be accommodated on underused council owned land without demolishing homes and businesses or losing playing fields and the countryside.
