These designs were produced to enable an informed discussion between local community and the Council about creating a fast, sustainable and highly sociable solution for the Portwall Lane Car park.

We propose retaining most of the existing parking, allowing this to be redeveloped in the future when car parking is no longer needed here. The upper floors are built using TopHuis panelised prefabricated homes. The sociable deck access gives space to grow plants, improves biodiversity and allows people to get to know their neighbours whilst also protecting the building from extreme sun and rain.
