Walnut Street

Leicester Royal Infirmary has a main entrance at the south west corner of the site. The surface car park along it's south boundary is inefficiently arranged and makes a negative contribution to the townscape on Walnut Street. We propose re-providing the same number of parking spaces in a 2 level parking deck with single aspect south facing homes set behind a small buffer garden along Walnut Street.

There would be 32 no. 2 bed flats here. Build cost will need to be very carefully managed but we believe these homes could be provided without any subsidy from central or local government.
