This site is very close to King Street way. In terms of urban landscape it’s a dysfunctional dead-end created by a piece of thoughtless 1960s Highways related civic infrastructure.
Although a vehicular dead-end, there are obscure pedestrian links into the vibrant and bustling North Lanes retail area.
The proposal here would be to enhance these pedestrian links, create new ones and build 10 new homes above new retail units. This would create a viable and valuable extension to the eclectic and very popular Brighton retail offer as well as creating new homes for 10 families.
