The MV Royal Daffodil (1939) was one of the "Little Ships". According to the list of participating vessels on Wikipedia, it evacuated a total of 7461 people over 5 crossings. 

Although Little Ships will identify at least 75,000 sites with an average number of just 10 homes per site, we'll also go after big sites. The only difference between us and private developers will be that our 'profit' will get re-invested in building more homes.
